Elaine (Ashton) Greaves age 48 was born in Lancashire 1965
I beganpainting in 2006 after 3 years working in my Barbershop in Ansdell. Ideal when things are quiet to pass a little time.
I always loved painting and drawing from a young age, but as I approached my twenties I left it by the wayside for a while.
Opened the Barber shop in 2003 when I was 37 and at 40 started to paint again.
So over the past 8 years I have created around 40 paintings half of which have been given, sold or have been commissions.
All paintings are acrylic on canvas and various sizes.
My favourite paintings are of water, sea and reflections.
I was inspired to paint again when I visited Rhodes in Greece, Lindos being the area of attention on that particular holiday.
The Acropolis that remains there and the town that is build on the way up to the top, all so picturesque and historical.
